Congratulations on your engagement!
If you are looking for wedding venues in the Milwaukee area & are a bit overwhelmed with the options, keep reading for a photographer’s perspective!
Theses are some of my top favorite wedding venues in the area, in no particular order. I’m including a variety of city venues as well as a more country feel! All of these venues are wonderful to photograph at and I’ve had great expereinces working with the staff. This entry is perfect for a quick idea of a few venues without overwhelming you with too much information! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any specific questions regarding any of these venues!

1. Saint Kate Arts Hotel
I had to start with this one because it’s a unique spot! Saint Kate is located on Kilbourn Ave right in the middle of downtown Milwaukee. This is a wonderful venue if you’re looking for that elevated ballroom experience. Also, if you and your partner enjoy art, the hotel has a TON of art including an art gallery on the main level.
The wedding I’m featuring used Saint Kate for their cocktail hour and reception. They got ready at the hotel, were married at a nearby church, and took portraits on the Marquette campus, outside of the Milwaukee Art Museum, and at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center. This is a perk of Saint Kate being so centrally located allowing for close proximity to so many great photo locations!
2. Rustic Manor 1838

The Rustic Manor is a wedding venue located in Delafield, Wi. It’s a beautiful modernized barn set on a 12 acre property. From a photographer’s perspective, there are a ton of options for photo spots all around the property making this a perfect venue if you don’t want to worry about leaving during the day. This is a venue I’ve shot at a lot and I am never running out of photo ideas here!
The wedding I’m featuring used the venue for the whole day. The girls got ready in the bridal suite, and the guys in the groom suit (yes they actually have a spot for the groom!) The ceremony was set in the back of the property down the hill from the building. After the ceremony, we took photos all over the property including outside of the barn, infront of the beautiful brick house with an ivy wall, in the open field, and by the pond in the woodsy area.

3. Fête
This venue is stunning! It’s set out in the country in Wales, WI. It’s a modern open venue with white walls and a ton of windows. There’s a beautiful bridal suite as well as a good size room for the groom and groomsmen to get ready! My favorite part of this venue is the pond out back, with their row boat. If you’re considering this venue, you can’t forget about the amazing photo opportunities that come with this boat!
The property sits on a private 13-acre property offering a secluded, scenic setting while remaining just minutes from area hotels, restaurants, and local amenities. They can seat 250-300 guests.
This wedding featured below spent the whole day at the venue and decided to have an adventure and go out for a ride in the boat, making for great photos and unforgettable memories.
4. Harley Davidson Museum
If you’re looking for a unique venue, the Harley Museum is definitely that! They have several spaces with two of them being geared more towards weddings: ‘Garage’ and ‘Rumble’. The building is industrial and modern, with beautiful views of the city from every angle. The location is just south of downtown Milwaukee, close to plenty of options for hotels.
This featured wedding had their ceremony and reception at the venue, while getting ready at The Journeyman Kimpton hotel.
5. Lac La Belle
There’s something special about popping the question in a place that means something to both of you, so why not propose at your favorite restaurant? If you’re going to choose this option, be sure you set the mood with an order of your favorite drinks and propose when the time is right. There’s nothing better than a plate of good food to make your partner say yes!!
6. Pritzlaff
The Pritzlaff building is nesteled right along the river, across from the Historic Third Ward.
